GENERAL FAQs

To have fun of course! A Silent Disco can have many different applications, ranging from a high-tech party, to an alternative listening experience for people who are hard of hearing. We think any reason is a good reason for a silent disco, and if we can help make your idea come true, we'd love to help.

Silent Disco rentals vary in cost depending on who or where you rent them from. In general, you can expect to pay around $6-$10 per headphone. Shipping is either included, or extra between $50-$100 roundtrip. Our party-ready silent disco rentals start at just over $7 per headphone, and include everything for an effortless silent disco rental.

One of the best parts of a silent disco is everyone can listen to their music channel of choice. If you have multiple DJs, or even just multiple MP3 players, you can stream up to 3 stations, letting your guests pick their favorite to dance to.

To host a successful silent disco, you'll need a few things:

  1. Silent Disco Headphones - Get enough silent disco headphones for each of your guests.
  2. Silent Disco Transmitter - You'll need at least one of these. We include three with our rentals for up to three different music channels.
  3. Music - A simple iPod or mp3 player will work! If you want to up your party game, you can have up to three DJ's battle live.
  4. Partygoers! - Obviously you'll need some partygoers. Don't worry if they have never experienced a silent disco before. Once your first guest puts on a pair of headphones, everyone will soon follow to find out what the hype is all about.

Silent disco is the most fun you can have without going deaf. Seriously! You can party all night long to the music of your choice, at your preferred volume level. No speakers mean no noise disturbance for your neighbors, or feeling like you need to "step out" for a break from all the music. Simply pop the headphones off, and hangout until you are ready to jump back on the dance floor.

Throwing a silent disco at home is easy. You'll need to rent or purchase a silent disco system that includes headphones & transmitter(s), and you'll need to provide your own music. Simply plug in the transmitter to your mp3 player or music source, turn on your pre-charged headphones, and party on!

DJing a silent disco is just like DJing any other event, with a few considerations:

  1. Share the stage - One of the unique aspects of a silent disco is the ability to stream up to 3 music channels at once. If there are other DJ's playing, then guests can tune in to the DJ of their choice.
  2. Keep an eye on the colors - Silent disco headphones like ours include a lighting system to show which channel guests are on. This helps you see if people are tuning into your mix, or another DJ's so you can try to 'win' them back.
  3. Engage with your crowd - Just like any other setup, you'll need to engage with your crowd to ensure everyone is having a good time. Remember though, if people don't have their headphones on, they may not hear an important announcement or you hyping the crowd up. 

PURCHASES

Please read this policy in full prior to making any purchase. All orders are considered final, and accepted returns will subject to a 25% restocking fee and a return shipping fee.

CUSTOM OR SPECIALTY ORDERS:

Custom or Specialty orders are ineligible for refunds or returns once purchases or deposits are made regardless of circumstance.

 

MANUFACTURER LIMITED WARRANTY:

Party Headphones LLC warrants the Party Headphones-branded hardware products and accessories contained in their original packaging (“PH Product”) against defects in materials and workmanship when use in accordance of their intended use, specifications, and other published guidelines for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase by the end-user purchaser (“Warranty Period”).  You will be able to receive the remedies available under the One Year Limited Warranty for your PH Product via shipping to a PH Product distribution facility (please refer to section "How to request an RMA").

 

WHAT IS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?

This warranty does not apply to any non-Party Headphones branded hardware products or any software, even if packaged or sold with Party Headphones hardware. Non-Party Headphones branded products may have the benefit of a manufacturer's warranty, which provides benefits in addition to consumer law rights - please check your product box and literature for details. Please refer to the licensing agreement accompanying the software for details of your rights with respect to the use of software. Service options may be limited if requesting service in a country that is not the country of purchase for the Party Headphones Product. In the event that service for the Party Headphones Product is not available in such country, Party Headphones will notify you of any additional charges for shipping and handling that may apply before rendering service.

When contacting Party Headphones via telephone, call charges may apply depending on your location. Please contact your network operator for details.

 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY?

This warranty does not apply: (a) to consumable parts, such as batteries or protective coatings that are designed to diminish over time, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship; (b) to cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents and broken plastic on ports; (c) to damage caused by use with another product; (d) to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, liquid contact, fire, earthquake or other external cause; (e) to damage caused by operating the Party Headphones Product outside the user manual, the technical specifications or other Party Headphones Product published guidelines; (f) to damage caused by service (including upgrades and expansions) performed by anyone who is not a representative of Party Headphones or an Party Headphones Authorized Service Provider (“PHASP"); (g) to an Party Headphones Product that has been modified to alter functionality or capability without the written permission of Party Headphones; (h) to defects caused by normal wear and tear or otherwise due to the normal aging of the Party Headphones Product; or (i) if any serial number has been removed or defaced from the Party Headphones Product, or (j) if the product is stolen or Party Headphones reasonably believes that the product is stolen based on information provided by law enforcement authorities.

 

HOW TO REQUEST AN RMA:

To start a return, please contact us with your order number and we will initiate our return process after confirming the situational details with you. If it is an eligible return, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within 72 hours of the order being determined as eligible. Returns without an RMA number will not be accepted and any equipment returned without an RMA number will not be eligible for a return or refund nor will it be shipped back to a customer. Shipping to our return facility is not covered under this warranty. Return shipping back to the purchaser is covered but import, export, duties, and tax fees are not.

WHAT WILL PARTY HEADPHONES DO IN THE EVENT OF A WARRANTY CLAIM?

If you submit a valid claim under this warranty, Party Headphones will, at its option:

(i) repair the Party Headphones Product using new or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or

(ii) replace the Party Headphones Product with a product that is at least functionally equivalent to the Party Headphones Product and is formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or

(iii) refund your purchase price in exchange for the return of your Party Headphones Product.

When a product or part is replaced or a refund provided, any replacement item becomes your property and the replaced or refunded item becomes Party Headphone’s property. A replacement part or product or a repaired Party Headphones Product assumes the remaining warranty of the original Party Headphones Product or ninety (90) days from the date of replacement or repair, whichever provides longer coverage for you.

 

For service requested in a country other than the country of purchase for the Party Headphones Product, Party Headphones may repair or replace products and parts with comparable products and parts that comply with local standards.

HOW TO REQUEST AN RMA:

To start a return, please contact us with your order number and we will initiate our return process after confirming the situational details with you. If it is an eligible return, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number within 24 hours of the order being determined as eligible. Returns without an RMA number will not be accepted and any equipment returned without an RMA number will not be eligible for a return or refund.

(i) Entire agreement:

Other than the consumer law rights to which you are entitled as set out at the beginning of this document, all warranties, conditions and other terms not set out in this warranty document are excluded from the Party Headphones One-Year Limited Warranty. Some countries do not allow limitations on how long such warranties, conditions and/or implied terms may last, so the limitation described above may not apply to you.

(ii) Disclaimer in relation to data:

Party Headphones does not warrant, represent or undertake that it will be able to repair or replace any Party Headphones Product under this warranty without risk to and / or loss of information and / or data stored on the Party Headphones Product.

(iii) Limitation of liability:

In no event shall Party Headphones  be liable for:

  1. any losses that were not caused by our breach of this warranty document;
  2. any loss or damage that was not, at the time of your purchase of the product, a reasonably foreseeable consequence of Party Headphones breaching this warranty document; or
  3. losses relating to any business of yours, loss of profits, loss of data or loss of opportunity.

The provisions of this warranty document shall not apply to (i) death or personal injury, (ii) fraud or gross negligence; or (iii) fraudulent misrepresentation; or (iv) any other liability that can not be limited or excluded as a matter of law.

Shipments to locations outside of the continental U.S. may incur additional shipping, duty, tax, or tariff fees. Upon ordering, you will be solely responsible for any additional taxes, duties or tariffs which may be due prior to delivery. There may also be a delay when items pass through Customs, so shipping times will vary. If you wish to manage the import yourself, Party Headphones can ship to a designated freight forwarder within the continental USA at a standard ground shipping rate.

TRY BEFORE YOU BUY:

If you want to evaluate or test equipment before purchasing, we recommend to set up for an equipment rental first. Returns will not be granted for issues other than verified Manufacturer Defects. Please contact us prior to paying for a rental order, and request a rent-to-purchase authorization. We will set you up with a standard rental, and if you choose to buy equipment within 30 days of the original rental date, we will contribute 60% of the rental price (not including shipping) towards your purchase. Rent-to-purchase authorizations cannot be granted after rental orders are placed. 

RENTALS

A silent disco or silent party, is an event where people dance to music broadcasted through wireless headphones, as opposed to a speaker system.

 

Only the people wearing headphones hear the music being played, making it an awesome choice for venues with noise constraints, or just to create a club-like atmosphere where you can still hold a conversation at a normal volume.

 

A silent disco can be as simple as setting up different playlists on different devices (up to three), so everyone can jam out to one of three choices of music. Or if you want to take things to the next level, you can have live DJs competing and let your audience tune into their favorite one.

If you are renting, your equipment arrives 1-2 days before your event. This gives you plenty of time to get familiar with the equipment and setup instructions. Of course, if you have anything you are unsure about, you can always reach out to Party Headphones. We're always here for you and happy to help!

After the event, simply repack the equipment, place the included return-shipping label on the case, and call the courier we used to schedule a pick-up the day before the pick-up is needed (1st business day after your event). You can also drop the gear off to the designated shipper you received this from if that is easier. Then just shoot an email to your assigned customer excitement specialist letting us know the package is being returned!

We always recommend having good security measures in place to deter theft, and damage. We have a standard $60 replacement fee for headphones that go missing or are damaged at the event. Replacement of a the wireless music transmitter is $160.

If you prefer to cover yourself in the case of damage, loss, or theft, consider adding an event rental insurance plan onto your order!

Our standard quote covers usage for a single day event, with the headphones being returned the following business day. For longer events, we offer consecutive-day pricing at an additional $3 per headphone for each additional day of use. The headphones arrive fully charged, with approximately 8-10 hours of battery life. So if you are having a multiple-day event, you may need to re-charge the headphones in-between, using the charging stations include with every multi-day order. We also have weekly rates available for longer events, and offer long-term leases when you simply want a hands-off party experience throughout the year

We require a 50% deposit to secure a reservation. The remainder is due 7 days prior to your event date, and is required before the equipment can be shipped. We accept PayPal and all major credit cards. If you need different terms that work with your employer/organization, please send us a message and we'll be happy to help.

We do everything we can to minimize cost so that anyone can experience a Silent Disco. As a result, we provide you with the essentials, and give you the option to provide your own DJ or mp3 player, and use the staff and volunteers already at your disposal to help manage the event. The best part, is no technical experience is necessary, and you need only to add music!

We also provide on-call customer support the day of your event. Should there be any questions or problems that arise, we'll be happy to resolve them.

EQUIPMENT

The Party Headphones Silent Disco RF Headphone is a premium wireless headphone with superior sound quality, features, and a lightweight design. Synced LEDs show the channel you're tuned into, and offer an exciting light-experience in the dark. The rechargeable batteries offer 8-10 hours of non-stop fun, so you can have a silent party anywhere you can imagine. Except underwater. Unfortunately, the headphones aren't waterproof yet.

Our plug-and-play silent disco system allows you to connect any electronic device with a headphone jack (AUX) or audio input to the Soundsource Wireless Transmitter. While having multiple DJs can be a ton of fun, with our system it's not necessary!

Connect DJ mixers, laptops, iPhones, mp3 players, a TV, or practically any other music device to the transmitter to instantly start your party.

If you are renting, your equipment arrives 1-2 days before your event. This gives you plenty of time to get familiar with the equipment and setup instructions.
